  • Description

Casa Mila, popularly known as La Pedrera (the stone quarry) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the celebrated architect's final project. This masterpiece inspired by nature is a unique building that displays Gaudi's unlimited imagination.

La Pedrera is also the only Gaudí interpretation centre in Barcelona. It is an essential stop-off if you want to learn about the architect’s entire legacy and his sources of inspiration. Let yourself be amazed by this unique place with a total surface area of 4,500 square metres divided across five floors.
Make sure to get your audio-guide so you can visit at your own pace all the following wonders:
Contemplate Casa Mila's stone facade, a veritable architectural sculpture in itself, the iconic Roof of Warriors, a unique creation that defies classification; then there's the Whale Attic with its Gaudí exhibition or the Tenants’ Apartments, located on the fourth floor that retraces the life of a typical bourgeois family in early twentieth century Barcelona.

Without forgetting the Flower and Butterfly Courtyards and the Mila Family Apartment where the first owners of the building lived, and which now houses an exhibition hall.
This space hosts art exhibitions organised at La Pedrera throughout the year. It cannot be visited on days when the exhibitions are being mounted/dismounted.
Visit La Pedrera and discover magical spaces where nature, a major source of inspiration for Gaudi, can be felt permeating every corner of the building!
